Sorry I'm a day late but I'm a bit tired. I ran in yesterdays Bun Run 5K after not running in a few months and I'm not moving so smooth today. I did the run with my speedy pup Flower, and she was 1st dog! Yay flower. If I wasn't there to slow her down she'd have been first overall but I held her to 5th, I came in 6th right behind her. I guess that's all right. Now to business:

I checked on our non-profit application this weekend and we are a few months out. Apparently they are working on submissions received  in January currently so if its a month to month thing I figure they will tackle ours in about 2 more months.

We set up a booth for the club at the parks departments twilight walk at Meadowbrook park on Saturday. Esteban and I manned it and spoke with a few folks about who we are and what we are about including the nice folks over at The Loop paper. They asked if we would like to submit something to them explaining ourselves to the general populous and I'd been thinking about something along those lines myself. If anyone is interested in writing a submission for the local papers I'd be super stoked to let ya. BTW since we have a Logo I purchased a 12" X 96" banner for our Popup for the club events we do. We need to start working on T-Shirts and jerseys anyone have a connection let me know!

We have the Cannel Meadow ride coming up on Saturday the 17th of July. Its a full days event, meeting at my house by 7:00 am on Saturday to load up in Lola. Otherwise you can meet us at Kern River Brewing Company in Kernville around 9:30. If we can get to the top of the mountain by 11 and get riding by 11:45/12:00 I'll count us lucky. The ride typically takes between 6 to 7 and a half hours ending at The Kern River Brewing Company for Dinner as usual.

Here's the Map for the ride: http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-states/ca/kernville/88044225

Let me know if you are coming or not.

After Cannel Meadows is the Bluesapallooza Trip to Mammoth. I know Mark B has a rental and last time I chatted with him about it he had a few openings in his condo. We Just rented one ourselves and I'm looking for any of our friends interested in staying with us. We are headed up on Sunday Morning Aug 1 and heading back Sunday afternoon Aug 8. If any of you are interested in driving up with us or maybe doing Sand Canyon Ride or Rock Creek trail, let us know and we will bring Lola. We rented a 2 bedroom with Loft and 1.5 bath at Seasons 4 above  the village, so everything is close. It sleeps 9 comfortably.

Also, if you are interested in chairing a group, i.e. running, walking, hiking, etc get in touch ASAP.

We need to start collecting cash for insurance, so we can begin building trails and having our own events i.e perhaps a mountain bike hill climb race in October?

And Lastly, we need to get started on working on the Move Your Tail Event on Sept 25th if you are interested in helping please let me know. here's the new flyer, (click to download PDF):
