Due to the empending darkness of shorter days , I suggest we bump the ride out time to 5:30 pm .

Hopefully that will be a good thing.

It was getting pretty dark by the time we rolled back into the parking lot.

I've been thinking about getting a light but haven't wanted to spend the change.

Seems like the less expensive versions aren't enough illumination for trail rides even when the trail is well defined and won't hold up to the bouncing around that is typical of MTB riding.

On a slightly different topic, should we give an overview of each Tuesday night ride?

WRT 9-22-09:

5 people showed up.

Consensus was for a nice and easy fun ride. (I'm going to call Janice and myself consensus.)

Parts of the early trail area are getting a little loose. I don't know if we can do a litle maintenace or if it would even be worth it before spring comes since anything we do will likely get hammered by freezes and snow/rain before then and might not be at all evident we did anything.

Most of the rest of the trail was pretty smooth. Swamp thing was not nearly as bad as it had been back in June. The bugs weren't rampant but were still with us. Not sure how the spider ended up in one rider's shoe.

Overall IMO goal acheived: Fun.

Ok folks , lets face it , we need to move the rollout time to 17:30 hrs / 5:30 pm . This will start on the next tuesday ride on 10/06/09 . Any major issues with this change , please voice your opinion on this forum . Thnx , Mark .

Just to let chuall know , I'm still riding the tuesday nite ride albiet with lights . I rode last nite (by my self) so I decided to do a little trail maintenance to the new minitrail My son & I built , (named "Nut-Up"). Check with me at our TMTA meeting this thursday nite & I'll describe how you can find it . The ride at nite is quite invigorating , especially alone while you see eye's reflecting back at you ! Ya'all try it sometime . Happy trails
